Questions and Answers
What can I do (a woman) to increase my sex drive? Married 12 years. I have no desire for sex with my husband (or anyone else) It has been this way for quite some time. I do fake interest once in a while. Our youngest is 8 so it's not like I just had a baby or anything. Otherwise our relationship is great. We are best friends. I have been on Prozac for years -it has helped me tremendously with depression. I know this could be the cause of no interest in sex, but everytime I have tried to taper off prozac it has been a very bad experience. Have there been any new developments for women...like Viagra type. I am looking for something I can do to help me physcially desire sex - either with a drug or a natural herbal type. I am not looking for relationship type help. Thanks!

nietzsches_right replied: "switch up to a different anti depressant and im not sure if theres a female version a viagra but if there isnt there damn well should be . good luck to you ."

stephen k replied: "But the real question is, is the prozac suppressing your drive, or was it suppressed beforehand?"

care bear Steph replied: "try stirring up your routine. Buy some new toys...things that just get you excited...they do have lubs and creams that increase female pleasure...check out your local sex shop...also try masterbating but dont orgasm or read a raunchy romance novel...that'll wake things up"

Poetic D replied: "Find a better lover or someone you're so passionate about, he would make your blood boil. That's not what you want to hear, but as long as you're healthy physically and have all your tools working, there is no reason why sex shouldn't be enjoyable for a woman. First, start off with LOOOOOONG foreplays. At least an hour of teasing , kissing, petting. You could also watch erotic movies. At the end of the hour, you'll be screaming at him to enter you. You'll explode within a minute, and have like two more orgams before you're exhausted. If he's a great lover, he'll be able to hold back his ejaculation while you're doing all this. He'll be enjoying your orgasms, both physically (your contractions around him, and psychologically (he'll feel like a real man)."

captn_carrot replied: "That's sweet of you to try to be aroused for yourself and your hubby. How good is he at wrting? have him write an encounter with you. Could be fiction, having his way with you on a boat, being a vampire, catching you coming out of the shower, etc. For me, the mental imagery from her reading my stories seems to turn her on. I heard of a product on the radio once of givinng the woman testosterone. But backed out before I lhad her try it. I thought testosterone was a male hormone. I was concerned if there were side effects. Let me know if something works. g/l"

pcworldtravel replied: "I have a suggestion. Practice good sleep hygiene. Make sleep a priority. Regulate your sleep, by that I mean try going to sleep every night at the same time and wake up everyday at the same time. Avoid naps whenever possible. Eat right but not right before you go to bed. Prepare you mind for sleep in other words don't go to bed stressed. Exercise but not before sleep time. Create a good sleep environment; dark, quiet and cool. Most importantly sleep on the best bed you can afford and the right size. This may all seem odd, but what you don't realize is the 1/3 of your life spent sleeping has a dramatic effect on the other 2/3 of your life. Research has revealed that sleep is just as vital to your health as diet and exercise. It just sounds like your tired and there are ways to cure tired I hope you find your way."

brakes_pegs_lucky replied: "I have the same problem and had a consultation with a Pharmacist who deals with natural remedies and he told me to take DHEA 25. You can get it at GNC. Basically its testosterone so there is the risk of side effects but i haven't really had any. I am not a sex maniac or anything but it has helped me somewhat and I am hoping in time it will help more. I am 28 and have been married for a little over a year and was on the birth control shot which is what killed my sex drive. I am no longer on birth control, but since you are on Prozac still double check that it is safe for you to take DHEA 25. It is unfortunate that there is so little help for women with this problem, it is so frustrating!!! I feel for you, I really do. Hope this helps!"

How did older men deal with ED before Viagra? There have been many younger women older men pairing for years. Some have been married for years and have several children. Some people might argue that the older men use viagra. But there have been many older men younger women relationships thru history who have had children years before Viagra. Did they have natural herbs or supplements? Did good health, exercise and being in shape play a role? I have some older men today don't need Viagra but the ones that don't tend to be in good shape and excellent health.

jam replied: "you know that watermelon and maca works as viagra so those old people must had used any one of them. "

Does horny goat weed work for women? I've heard men say that its like natural viagra. But can women take it? And does it even work? If so, how?

Courtney replied: "yeah watch sex and the city hahah it Works."

Is there anything out there for women that is safe for women like Viagra for men? I have had a decreased sex drive for almost 2 years now. I have tried to 'force' myself to have sexual activites thinking that it would increase my sex drive, and so far, nothing is successful. I have heard of products like Avenavin, and Sentia for women, but are these types of products safe? The claim to be all natural... Does anyone know, Can anyone help?

Sherry replied: "Alcohol..... Its the liquid panty remover!"

Desert Rose replied: "There is a female version of viagra which has just been licensed in the UK I think and it was mentioned on GMTV by Dr Hilary Jones a while back. I think it is only available through a GP as it is for women with a serious low libido problem. Hope this helps!"

A possible natural solution to viagra? A younger, sexier woman! What percentage, do you think, of men with supposed "erectile dysfunction" would be suddenly cured? a) 0% b) 1-10% c) 11-25% d) 26-50% e) 51-75% f) 76-99% If anyone knows of any studies done this natural cure, surely let me know! But personal guesses is what I'm expecting. Good point, lunch loaf. I have read that heavy exorcise will increase blood flow and hormones needed for a man's tool to function properly. Like heavy weight lifting. @Sunny day: Well, I see the ad hominems (personal attacks) are coming in from the ladies already. Actually I'm 25 and mine works like a champ. I've said nothing that would evidence of mine not working. So, please stop assuming (we know what that does) and focus on the matter at hand. My point is that many ED cases may just be a matter of circumstance. What percentage do you think are? @Tracey: True, they probably don't want an old man. But if he has loads of money, you better believe they'll do just about anything he wants. He doesn't even have to give her any money. That much status and power will do it no problem. I've seen it and it works without fail. Sure, maybe not every young hot woman, but still plenty will come along for the/a ride.

Top-Secret Feminist Conspiracy replied: "lol good one that cute....clearly you need to research erectile dysfunction."

CB replied: "e) and many of the rest due to drinking 10 pints a night for the last 20 years!"

Sunny Day replied: "It didn't work for my ex. He hung limp with younger women, and only came back to life with my "skills." That is why it was so hard on him when I dumped him, because he wouldn't use VIagra. It's not woman's problem. It is the man. Why don't you just take your old dick to a hooker and pay, and see if a younger woman works. Or did you try it, and just hang, embarrassed and unable?"

yarking lunchloaf replied: "yeh, well. Try good health. On the man's part, I mean. Most men that go running for that crap are out of shape. Get them endorphins going with strenous exercise and Mr. Stiff tends to be there when want him to be."

Max replied: "When or if I get to that point in my life in which I become impotent or end up with erectile dysfunction, I'd simply just let it be. I WOULD get my heart checked because some medical experts say that erectile dysfunction could be a sign of cardiovascular problems, but as long as my cardiovascular system is doing well and the rest of my health is up to par, I wouldn't worry about it. I don't need sex to survive. ...But this is my opinion. It's up to other men to decide what's best for them."

Tracey replied: "Yaaaawwwwwn. It's feminism's fault that so many men have enlarged prostates. I don't know why, but it is. Just 'cuz. So there. And Sweetheart, let me let you in on a secret. It is NOT the undying wish of every young attractive woman to spend her Saturday evenings flogging a dead horse and trying to rouse a paunchy middle-aged guy who can't get it up. Sorry."

ProfessorC replied: "Viagra would probably cost less......"

Low sex drive, probably menopause, any suggestions? I'm 39 and am, in fact, in the early stages of menopause. I have a wonderful boyfriend who is a very sensual and romatic lover whom I'm very attracted to but my sex drive is just low - DAMMIT - is there something I can take like Viagra for women? Any natural remedies? I hate the feeling of turning him down or, on the flip side, doing it when I don't really want to. Please help!

the_only_solorose replied: "research DHEA, it made a huge difference for me."

I am looking for information about viagra for women.? I am looking for libido boosters specifically for women, and not the 'typical' laundry lists like 'eat oysters'. I remember hearing about a pill, if I recall it was herbal and natural, that was showing great promise as a female 'viagara' type drug.

celestial_babe4u2 replied: "I don't think there are any prescription drugs for women like Viagra. But Places like GNC and other Health food and drug stores have different types that are supposed to hep."

dkitty_154 replied: "No, there is a female viagra. I'm not sure which countries it is available in though. You will have to talk to your doctor about that. And the first answer has a good point, check out a health food/pill store, they usually have things you can take that are natural instead of some drug. But the question is, do they work? I would suggest you go to your doctor and talk to him/her, he/she'll be able to suggest what is best for you. Best of luck!"

Men get help in sustaining erection due to viagra. What do women get by using it-? Its a known fact, viagra works by constricting veins of the pe**s, so the natural process of erection stays longer and harder. But what will it do to woman-? How does it work-?

dean_eli replied: "I don't know."

looksadpaper replied: "This question makes absolutely no sense at all."

franky d replied: "stiff nips"

dr_mero b replied: "The lower lips get bigger, and the cl***it gets harder."

Marinersfan replied: "It will give a woman a very sore vagina ... if the man stays hard for hours, he'll just want to keep hammering away and she'll just be totally worn out. Actually I think it does something to a woman if she takes it - probably makes her tighter and more sensitive - but if I'm hard and ready, what do I care?"

katrinathekat1980 replied: "it sounds like you are asking how an erect penis works for a woman. I pity you, since you don't know."

rajit bansal replied: "kjhkubv"

sensa replied: "It helps mainly people with premature ejaculation since they can stay hard even after ejaculation. It also helps people with erectile problems. On the whole the ladies benefit because of longer love making sessions. They can reach an orgasm if used artfully and besides its not ever in a flash"

Parjanya Roy replied: "cool question !!!"

ars32 replied: ".The question can be answered in two parts. (i) If it means what it would do to women when his man takes Viagra. In this case it is clear that the pleasure time will increase for both of them. (ii) If it means what it would do to women when the women herself would take Viagra. Certainly it will increase blood circulation at the clitoris resulting in a stiff clitoris and the whole female part will swell in excitement and become darker. Under such condition she would have to be handled carefully and satisfactorily by her man."

n_kakos replied: "it will make her clitoris hard and her lips hard around her vagina"

Sona replied: "Try to explore gud things around u pls"

Viagra and breastfeeding? Since the birth of my son, my libido is next to nothing. During my pregnancy I was told by my doctor that an orgasm could complicate my pregnancy and I was desperate for my 6 wk check up and the ok from my doctor to have sex. But now, 12 weeks later I am in no mood whatsoever! I have heard about viagra increasing the libido in women as well as men and I was wondering if anyone else has had any experience with it? Also, I am breastfeeding and I dont' feel safe putting anything into my system thats not natural. Of course I will discuss my findings with my doctor before I do anything Does this mean that I am &*(t out of luck or is there something else i can try?

Preggo replied: "I've never heard of Viagra for women & I'm a pharmacy tech. I know they make herbal stuff. But it's normal not to be in the mood during or after pregnancy. I'm almost 27 weeks & just recently started getting in the mood. When I wasn't, I looked a lot on line & it said some women don't get their libido back for up to a year after the birth."

talia_hailey replied: "I wouldnt ever do that while breastfeeding, ask your dr. There are natural products like Horny Goat Weed (GNC has it). Or certain foods. But be careful with that kind of med."

Love my baby boy! replied: "I definitely wouldn't take viagra while breastfeeding. I'm sure there are no studies to find the correlation between the two."

♥ Happy Mummy to ♂&♀ replied: "If I were you I wouldn't try that, simply because I've never heard of it before. Believe me, your libido does come back. From the 20th week of my pregnancy til my daughter was 6 weeks old there was no full intercourse in our relationship, simply because I did not feel in the mood at all. Have patience!"

Low Libido?....??? I have pretty much no sex drive. i have a 2 year old. i had asked a question like this a long time ago and all the answers were like, wait til your body is back to normal after having a baby, blah blah. i really don't think it has anything to do with having a baby. i've been married for 5 years and still find my husband VERY attractive. I just have no sex drive. i just need some advice. could it be a hormonal inbalance or something like that? is there like a viagra for women or a natural supplement. any advice would be appreciated!! thank you!

mlgable replied: "The first thing you need to do is see your doc for a complete physical if you haven;t had one yet this year. This is to rule out any medical cause for your low sex drive, Once the doc rules out a medical cause he can advise you how to best treat this."

Christie G replied: "It could be, your doctor would be the one to ask that. I think there is a female version of viagra, not sure what its called though. Have you tried maybe having a drink to relax you so you could get into the mood?"

crazicowgirl replied: "I think you need to see your doctor for a check up. Also if you work full time and with a 2 year old you may be just plain flat tired! Up until my kids were around 4 or so I felt sorry for my hubby! I was so tired that all I wanted to do was sleep when I hit the bed! But there is hope !"
