does HP Pavilion dv4-1220us have built-in bluetooth? do anyone know if the laptops HP Pavilion dv4-1220us have built-in bluetooth? please help

Gaby replied: "I don't know about Bluetooth, but I do know that it has built-in FAIL."

Does HP Pavilion DV4-1220us laptop have an external wireless button? I recently bought a HP Pavilion laptop and have been having some difficulty with my wireless connection (though that's not what I'm currently asking about), and in my searching found people mentioning other HP Pavilions having a touch button to turn the wireless adapter on/off. My laptop has a wireless indicator light at the end of a row of other touch buttons that work, but nothing happens when the wireless indicator is pressed. Is it supposed to be a button? The 'button' was tried many separate times, both when it was red and when it was blue. If this is not the button, is there an external wireless button somewhere else on the laptop? I have checked all the 'usual places' many times--front corner, sides, everywhere near the wireless indicator--but there does not seem to be any button. It is a "HP Pavilion dv4- 1220 us Entertainment Notebook PC". The wireless indicator light is located at the top-right above the keyboard, on the far right of a line of touch buttons for media. Thanks in advance for any help. This is bizarrely difficult to find an answer for; even HP's own website seems not to know where their laptops have wireless buttons. Thanks much for the answers; now let me clarify my question: When I press the little wireless button at the top-right of the keyboard, is something supposed to happen? Because currently, nothing happens.

ZACK NEEDS HELP, OR HERE TO HELP replied: "So far I love mine, here is what I can tell you so far. Sorry a bit in-depth, but like to keep things simple, but correct... So here we go... * Runs cool and quiet for a AMD. Graphics are great. I have CS source and DOOM 3 they play great. well built and strong but not heavy. good for traveling. * The Touchpad is different but once I got used to it I like it. Was pleasantly surprised with outside case. * Small and stylish compared to most in this price range. Has a decent processor and graphics card. Laptop speakers are well above average in quality and loudness compared to most laptops. * Runs smoothly(most of the time). Cool light up HP emblem on cover, GOLD!!! (all over&keyboard). Lots of RAM!! =) DirectX 10 support, and WINDOWS VISTA 64BIT Edition! * Cheap at the old price. 4Gig RAM. Wireless N * The HDMI and eSTAT is great for price * Nice bronze color *************************** What I don't like about it so far is*************** * You can’t see lables/alphabets on keyboard clearly (because of bronze color) specially during night time… * The battery life is short.. maybe an hour and a half even when it in the recommended power save mode. * The quick touch panel is handy but the hp ‘quickplay’ button is a bit of a pain. It’s very easy to accidentally hit this button and make the computer stop what it’s doing to launch that program. And to answer your question yes it does.. hopes this helps some"

Rahul replied: "You will not have any external wireless button apart from the ones lined up at the top right of the keyboard. If the light glowing in blue, it does mean that the connection is on. It will glow red when there is no wireless connection. When the Blue light is on, go to my network places and you will be able see the connection available. Double click and follow the instructions."

Bobby replied: "hi just ninstall the Quick Lunch buttons trough Add/Remove:==== 1. Click Start and then Control Panel. 2. Double-click Programs and Feratures. 3. From the Change/Programs and Feratures tab, select the program you want to uninstall.(Example- Quick Lunch buttons) 4. Click Change/Remove. 5. Click Next. 6. Click Finish. 7. Restart the system. download drivers fron the link or BETTER use recovery DVDS to install drivers.."

I'm having a problem with my HP Pavilion Dv4-1220us Laptop.? My left mouse button and the tapping feature will not work. I've had to switch my settings so that I can temporarily still use the right button. I've tried to update the driver from the HP support site but it always says that it is not compatible with my operating system(vista 64) even though I choose Vista 64 and that's the driver it tells me to use. I've tried to uninstall the mouse and reinstall it but that doesn't work either. I don't know what else to do...any ideas??? Please & Thank you.

Dream Chaser replied: "Try the Alps Driver for Vista-64 from Dell.. It's been known to work with Hp and Sony. If the above one doesn't work, try this. No harm in trying right? Make sure you uninstall the mouse by going to your Device Manager before installing the drivers."

I just bought a HP Notebook laptop for a hundred bucks. Was it a good buy? It was a Circuit City liquidation sale and I was in a desperate need for a laptop. Its a HP Pavilion dv4-1220us. It was brand new out of the box. It is the same laptop that Capricorn's link provided.

Joshua B replied: "For a $100 if it runs its a good deal"

Capricorn1 replied: "If the laptop you got was this one: then I'd say you did very well. Was it still new in the box or a demo/open box model? Still a good deal though."

ryuk_131shinigami replied: "It depends you cant just say that such as memory, cpu and such needs to be listed."

Randy replied: "Dude, hats off to you, a very good deal. Here in GA, there is also a Liquidation sale @ circuit city. And if you walked away with a deal like that, then give yourself a pat on the back."

Lucky replied: "As long as it doesnt have an Nvidia G 7600-9600 series graphic chip. Theyre defective and will only last about 18 months on a new machine"

Big Jerm replied: "any new laptop you can get for 100 bucks is a good deal"

dvskv replied: "Congraluations! Yes, I agree that a $100 for any brand new out of the box or even store display model Notebook PC would be really good deal! Thank God for Blessing You with Being In the Right Place at the Right Time!"

How good is this laptop: HP Pavilion dv4-1220us? It has 4 gigs of RAM, 250gig HD, ATI Radeon HD 3200, and AMD Turion 64 X2 RM-72. I have been looking for a laptop for a while and i wanted to get one that was small light weight, 3-4 gigs of ram, a big HD and a good graphics card. And so far this laptop fills all my needs but i would like to know your openion on it first mainly for the graphics card. i would like to know if the card can play Battle Field 2 on full. thanx

Jay S replied: "It is very nice laptop but you did rightfully pointed out graphics card not being top of the line. Although it will run BF 2 but if you have a choice when purchasing then upgrade the graphics card. HP is more popular laptop brand than any other at the moment (which can change year by year). They also have better support (may not be good or pleasant to call them) than others."

Shannon! replied: "HP is a popular brand, and it's so for a reason. It's a great brand, as our Compaqs since they bought the company. It's a ton of memory which is good. You should call HP and inquire as to whether or not you can upgrade the card. Or, go to the website."

does anybody knw if the hp pavilion dv4 keyboard lights up? this is it>
BDEVILZ replied: "no but the volume control and the other things below the moniter lights up but not keyboard."

Question on HP Pavilions? what is your opinion on the HP Pavilion dv4-1220us 14.1" Notebook PC - REFURBISHED, compared to other HPs??

ZIG replied: "Really great laptop for the price... But has a few issue that are to be expected at this price. case and hinges are cheap (not the most durable) and it come completely loaded with bloatware. iI would download this first thing and go to town."
