How much is Accutane/Roaccutane sold in the Philippines? Anybody knows a range of prices of Accutane/Roaccutane (Roche) - Isotretinoin, sold here in the Philippines? Not the ones sold online (cuz that would be illegal and hazardous....I will try asking my dermatologist for a presciption for my next visit to her. Thanks a bunch people!

Im looking for an insurance plan in Canada that covers accutane? Im currently on antibiotics and a strong topical treatment for my body acne and i also have mild to moderate facial acne and im using treatments for that too and the strong topical treatment was $75, and i am going back to the dermatologist in 3 months to see if i need accutane and i most likely will so what would be a good prescription insurance plan to help cover a good amount of the price of accutane.

Surekha Parekh replied: "I am an Insurance broker - It is pre existing conditions the insurance co. might not cover the costs. I will try for you. I need some information What province you reside in, Your age smoking or non smoker. I will contact the Insurance co. find out about your Med. condition."

What is the cost of Accutane? Does anyone know the prices of accutane and like the off brands and stuff? I might be going on it in a few months but I am pretty sure its really expensive. Our insurance is terrible when it comes to prescriptions. I know the side effects and the severity of the accutane. I have talked about it with my dermatologist. If the current medication that I am on now doesn't work than we are most likely going to move on to accutane. I just know it is expensive and I just wanted to see how expensive.

Rufus replied: "A lot of blood"

Ashan replied: "well my sister did it and in total im pretty sure it cost around 400 dollars, of course it depends on how many sessions you need, but you should be careful because it made her moody and she never wanted to do anything..one of the side affects is depression"

Coqui Rabioso replied: "Check this two links; I myself used it long ago when it had no generics and insurance plans cover it. I do not think they cover it anymore. It was very effective, but I had a lot of problems with my lips splitting."

nicole replied: "i'm currently on claravis and get it from walgreens. i'm on 50mg/day, so i get a pack of 40mg pills and 10mg pills each month. both cost about $200 each, but with insurance come out to be $10 each. it would probably be worth it to look into getting better insurance, but if you do this you have to do it before accutane is prescribed to you or the insurance won't cover it. if you're unable to change your insurance, i've heard of people calling around to different places to find the lowest costing generic. if there is a costco near you, that would probably be your best bet. the generics available in the u.s. are claravis, sotret, and amnesteem. actually, accutane itself has been taken off the market (see link below), so generics are your only choice. good luck with everything, claravis has been a miracle for me."

How much have others paid for accutane? I just got a month supply of 30mg pills for over one hundred dollars. Is this normal or is there any way to get it for a cheaper price? I went to rite aid and idk if that was a good idea. let me know. thanks

Andrew D replied: "If you don't have insurance -- and it sounds like you don't (or you have to request reimbursement from your insurance company) -- this is a pretty typical price, but there can be significant differences between pharmacies when you don't have insurance. Accutane comes in many generic forms (Amnesteem, Sotret, etc.) Without knowing exactly how many pills you were prescribed per day, it's impossible to know if you got a "great deal", but this doesn't sound unreasonable. If you want to cost compare, just call around to Walgreens, CVS, or wherever else is available for the next time you get your prescription to see where might be the cheapest."

ryanstowe2002 replied: "thats pretty cheep mmines way more expensive"

Price of Accutane? I'm probably going to be going on Accutane in a few weeks, and I was wondering what the prices with insurance in the United States were like. Also, if anyone knows the price of the generic that would be helpful too. Thanks a lot!

sara f replied: "i used to work with a dermatologist before and it depends on how much your insurance covers. but without ins the cost of accutane was like $500.00a month.(this was like 2 yrs ago) but remeber if your gonna have to be on it for like 5-6 mos for acne reasons thats how much it cost. thats why its good to have a good ins cause alot of ins dodnt cover accutane cause its super expensive. good luck."

jay1986 replied: "with insurance it will be cheap, probably between $5 and $20 a month ( i paid 5) for generic. without insurance my prescription would have been $620 a month."

accutane for treating acne - help please? does accutane really work that well? does acne actually go away after the course treatment is finished? i also heard that in the beginning your acne gets worse? if that is true.. how long does the getting worse period last? and how MUCH worse does it get? also something about redness and dryness?also what is the price of accutane without insurance? any other details about accutane, esp from those who's been on it, would be great.. thanks.

Jerome replied: "ask a doctor. SRSLY"

lonelydreamer3 replied: "My older brother went on accutane for six months and was completely clear after that. I went on accutane and was really clear while I was on the medicine but would break out once a month around my period after that. I had BAD acne...really bad. It was on my scalp, my back, my chest, my face, even my butt (gross I know). I still get a zit every now and again but am clear most of the time. Nothing like what it was. They give you a whole list of symptoms when you first start because it is a very serious drug but the only issues I had were dry lips and dry nose. I got a lot of nosebleeds while on it. But just make sure you have chapstick handy and nasal spray to moisturize the inside of your nose. I even started sleeping with a vaporizer on to keep my nose from getting too dry. You only get a 30 supply at a time and you have to go back to the doctor every month to get another prescription. You also have to get a blood test once a month one week before your appointment to make sure the medicine hasn't effected your iron or cholesterol."

Kelly replied: "I'm currently on Accutane. It does get worse first for some people, but not everyone. It isn't TERRIBLE, though. I'm actually on my second run of Accutane, but my doctor said that less than 5% of people have to do it twice. It is a miracle drug and if you have bad/stubborn acne, I would definitely recommend it. That being said, it will dry out your skin a lot. I basically live with vaseline/chapstick in my hand. It is very expensive without insurance. I believe it's over 100 dollars a month, but of course, that will depend on whether you are on a generic brand, etc. You will also have to get your blood tested each month, as well as take a negative pregnancy test before being prescribed each month. You will have to see your dermatologist every month, as well as taking 2 negative pregnancy tests before starting. Also, you will have to join the iPledge program. You basically are just promising to not get pregnant (either by using 2 forms of birth control throughout the time you are on the drug, or promising abstinence). Your doctor will have to fill out something through iPledge each month, which will release you into the system. You will then have to go home and fill out a short survey about not getting pregnant each month. The pharmacy will check that this has been done before they will fill your prescription. You need to do all of this (blood test, doctor visit, iPledge, and pick up your prescription) within a 7 day period each month, or you will be locked out of the system and will be out of it for another month. I'm not trying to scare you, though! It's a lot, but it's only 6 months of your life and will definitely be worth it afterwards."

Accutane HELPPP? I desperately need accutane to help my acne after hearing a lot ppl talking about it . I juz went to dermatologist today and he told me that the price of accutane for 1 month supply is around 300-500 USD, is he kidding me???? Furthermore he told me that including the blood lab is will be around 600 USD, geezzz~is it true?? Has anyone tried the accutane before and how much you pay for 1 month?? Let me know thanks!!!

deadbb2003 replied: "I know ppl who have tried it and it has been a miracle for them...BUT, if you are female you have to sign a consent form saying that you will not get pregnant. Acutane can cause major birth defects if you take it while pregnant."

Christopher W replied: "Don't use it, it should be a last resort, I blame it for runing my vision and making my skin still extreamly sensitve to light after 10 years!"

Belinda T replied: "dont use it man. it only works while your on it but when you stop your acne comes back. i'm serious i used it."

lithium138 replied: "yes it is that spendy i would say closer to $300 for the pills alone. You have to see a doctor every month (more money)before you they write out another rx refill and of course you have to fail a pregnancy test if you are female. Blood work will be taken (more money) because your fat lipid levels may increase to dangerous levels and there is a risk for permanent liver damage. I would use it as a last resort, the cons of it are pretty scary, I wish I knew then what I know now. I developed hyperpigmentation from it as it dries you up from the inside out. Look at some herbal alternatives to clean you of toxins from the inside (acne is one way your body is releasing the toxins that are accumulating in your organs) if you are unsuccessful w/ topical treatments. If your hormones are slightly elevated and that is why you are breaking out there are herbal remedies for that too."

mago replied: "yes, it has many potential complications....luckily it worked well for my daughter...we have health insurance, and this was about 5 years ago....we paid about 35 USD for one month's supply of drug, 20 USD per month office visit, 20 USD per month for birth control pills ( mandatory due to drug's serious fetal damage in case of pregnancy)"

KAB07 replied: "I get so pissed off when people say "dont use it, it's so terrible". It is a highly regulated drug and your doctor will only give you a script if they feel the overall benefit will outweigh the side effects. I just started accutane about a week ago, and I have a high deductable on my insurance, my cost at the moment is $245 a month, although once i reach my deductable in 2 months, i only pay 20% of that. The cost for the blood tests runs me around $60 and the dermatolgist visit around $55 (before my deductable again) I am on the 40 mg dose (generic) once a day. It is a lot to condsider but....think of this, the amount of $ you have probably already wasted on prescription medicine and otc products, proactiv (it works for a lot of people but not if you have cystic acne), after 5 months of accutane you wont need any of that, you will be clear. The cost saving in the LONG TERM is what you need to consider."

cheapest pharmacy to buy accutane from? I am going to start accutane tomorrow, however I would like to buy it as cheap as possible...does anyone know who carries it cheapest? CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, or Target? (I have an actual prescription from a dermatologist) what is the price, as well without insurance? thnx

Richard A replied: "the simple answer is to call all of your local stores, including supermarkets that have drug stores"

Is Accutane an expensive drug? People talk about what a miracle it is, it seems that since it works so well it would be expensive. I know the price varies for everyone because of Health Insurance. Money isn't an object when it comes to finding something thats gonna cure the acne I have. I was just wondering. Plus I have amazing insurance so I have to get the information together for the insurance company so they can let me know what my copay is gonna be.

Summer replied: "omg accutane is the most amazing drug ever to be invented sure theres a few side effects but it really is a miracle! I think its a bit expensive but its worth it to save up for it it will pay off for itself and think about it or else you will spend even more money on stuff that doesnt help your acne at all"
