Naproxen[aleve] in the morning and acetaminophen PM at night? will it give me bad side effects? In the morning, around eight oclock, I took Aleve with naproxen sodium [220mg], and i was wondering if i could take Tylenol PM with acetaminophen right now [9:45 pm]. if i did, would there be bad side effects?

DrUnKeN_TiGeR replied: "As a nurse we usually give medications again after 4 hours you should be ok"

Elf replied: "You should be fine. I've been told to take naproxen and tylenol at the same time. Tylenol PM is just... acetaminophen with benadryl (Dyphenhydramine HCl). There are no known drug interactions."

What are the long-term side effects of Aleve? Aleve is Naproxen sodium, 220 mg. What are the long-term side effects and how does it compare with ibuprofen when used for menstrual cramps?

Jodie replied: "Really, the biggest concern is always for your stomach. It will takes it toll on the lining and could create ulsers."

is naproxen sodium the same as ibuprofen? I was just curious if anyone knew if naproxen sodium is the same as ibuprofen or motrin. I want to make sure of side effects before I take anything.

georgygirl replied: "no, it is not the same, though both are non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs. You should not be dosing yourself....ask your doctor or pharmacist...they can check any side effects, or any contra-indications or drug interactions. Play it safe!"

Toad replied: "No! naproxen is Aleve. Ibuprofen is Advil Ibuprofen is also Motrin. When I take Ibuprofen I never notice any side effects but, naproxen makes my stomach hurt sometimes."

I've been taking klonipin, effexor, atenolol, and naproxen sodium lately. I woke tonight feeling weird!? I have also been binge drinking often in an unwise attempt to self medicate myself but the last time i had a drink was friday. anyway, i woke up in the middle of the night suddenly, feeling slightly confused and feeling very strange. I have a headache and although I am very tired, I can't sleep. I feel slightly dizzy and nauseous and feel like really drained and have tight muscles. Could this be a side effect of the meds or mixing them with alcohol or just a panic attack cavered up by my rx's? Any ideas?

Barry C replied: "Three words... SEE A DOCTOR"

walter e replied: ".... you really have no idea?"

izzy replied: "i think you should cut back on the drugs. that my personal opinion, but i could be wrong.lol."

poo poo kitty replied: "I do believe that one of the side effects of atenolol is the urge to keep moving and restlessness. Why are you taking so many drugs in similar categories? What ever you do don't stop taking the klonipin without a doc stepping you down from them. If you are self medicating to escape something you really need to confront the matter and address it or else you will never have relief. If you are a psych. patient then talk to your doc about the other substance you ingest. Your probably feeling weird cause of too many things to pinpoint in one little answer. Get professional help."

vanessa c replied: "good God,,,no wonder,,,,you're lucky you woke up at all!"

paul h replied: "docs now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
