Why do some Acai Berry supplements have caffeine? I bought some at a drug store, says to take with meals and has no caffiene. I ordered a free sample online and this brand has 100mg caffeine and says to take 20 min before eating. Is it just to suppress the appetite?

alc0035 replied: "Acai itself does not have caffeine (I'm guessing). If it is good quality and only contains acai it would not have caffeine. It is lower quality it is mixed with other crap, then it is possible. It is possible for some to have guarna. If this is the case, it would have caffeine. Guarna has naturally occurring caffeine."

I was stuck at my weight loss goals and this brought me through it and made me lose a lot of weight. So in my opinion it helped me lose weight tremendously. Does the acai berry contain caffeine? Just wondering. One time I took an acai berry supplement in the evening and I had the worst time falling asleep. I didn't have any caffeine that day, either. If all you're going to tell me about the acai berry is that it gives amazing results for weight loss, DON'T BOTHER. ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS IF IT CONTAINS CAFFEINE.

John S replied: "It depends on the pill. Acai berry itself (the natural berry that is) does not contain any caffeine. However, acai berry pills contain other ingredients that may contain caffeine. Look at the bottle you have to see what else is in those pills other than acai berry, then google those and see if any of them contain caffeine. Wish I could help you more, but each acai pills brand is different and contains different ingredients."
